One standard the whole world can read.
Today, addressing changes at every border: town to town, city to city, state to state, country to country. To work across them you'd have to master a tangle of systems that don't line up. AimLocate replaces that with one precise standard: the same everywhere, and simple enough for anyone to use.
Derived completely from latitude and longitude.
Every AimLocate address comes 100% from latitude and longitude. No committees, no politics, no bias. The same point always produces the same address, anywhere on earth.
Meters north or south of the grid's corner: the north–south position.
Meters east or west of the grid's corner: the east–west position.
Which 10 km square on earth, derived from the coordinate.
Same coordinate in, same address out, every time, with no human judgment in between.
One location. Your format.
The address is always derived from the same coordinates, but how it reads is up to you. Governments and businesses tailor length, precision, separators, and labels to fit their standards and existing systems.
Same coordinates underneath, four ways to present them. Your scheme can go further.
No key. No lookup table.
No PhD required.
Most digital addressing systems hand you a scrambled code that means nothing without their proprietary key to decode it. We took the opposite approach: an address you can read, share, and find on sight.
- The code tells a human nothing on its own
- Locked to one vendor's lookup system
- Subscription or licence to use
- Two doors apart can look completely unrelated
- North–south and east–west are right there in the address
- Derived straight from latitude and longitude
- Easy to say aloud, write down, and double-check
- Hierarchical: the numbers climb one way and fall the other
Built so anyone, whether a resident, a driver, a clerk, or a responder, can pick it up and use it.
Down to a single square meter.
Conventional addresses point at a building, a street, or nothing at all. AimLocate resolves to a 1m × 1m cell, so a specific entrance, meter, or asset has its own address.
- Address a specific doorway, meter, or gate, not just the building
- Pinpoint apartments, units, and floors individually
- The same 1 m accuracy in a dense city or an open field
Adds to what you have. It doesn't replace it.
We're not here to throw out your existing addresses. AimLocate works alongside the addressing you already use, filling the gaps and adding precision where there was none, so the systems and records you've built keep working.
- Complements existing street addresses and registries
- Fills in the places conventional addressing left blank
- Keep your current records. We layer on top, not over
Updates in real time as a country changes.
A fixed addressing scheme is like a photograph: accurate the day it's taken, then slowly out of date. And what country isn't changing? AimLocate updates in real time: new homes and developments get an address the moment they exist, without disturbing a single address around them.
- New developments get an address the day they appear
- Updates instantly, with no re-numbering, no redrawing
- Adding an address never changes its neighbors
Plugs into the systems you already run.
An address is only useful if your tools can read it. AimLocate delivers a clean layer that drops into your existing GIS and data stack, with no rip-and-replace.
- Export to Esri, ArcGIS, QGIS, CSV, and GeoJSON
- Tag each address with the data your team needs
- Your data stays yours. Export it anytime
If it has a location, it can have an address.
An AimLocate address isn't tied to a structure. It's tied to a point on the ground. That means you can address far more than homes and offices: anything you need to find, reach, or keep track of.
“If it has a location, it can have an address — and if it has an address, it can be measured, served, and improved.”
Common questions.
How is this different from GPS coordinates?
GPS latitude/longitude is precise but hard for people to read, share, or remember. AimLocate is derived directly from those coordinates, then expressed as a short postal code plus a simple grid address (like 6429 N 3929 W 063-107) that's still pinpoint-accurate to a 1 m × 1 m cell, but readable and easy to use without any lookup tool.
Does a place need an existing street address?
No. Our addressing doesn't depend on prior street data, postcodes, or signage. That's the point: we can address rural land, informal settlements, new developments, and infrastructure that conventional systems leave blank.
Can it address things other than buildings?
Yes. Anything with a location can have an address: assets, utilities, water points, delivery doors, equipment, or any point on the ground. You can attach whatever attributes you need to each one.
How does it fit our existing GIS?
AimLocate delivers a clean layer designed to integrate with the tools you already use, exporting to Esri, ArcGIS, QGIS, and standard formats. It augments your stack rather than replacing it.
